Nooxit Use Case

Challenge

Nooxit is an innovative AI platform that automates financial and accounting processes, leveraging historical ERP data. Nooxit easily integrates into existing organizational workflows to acquire the required information to automate procurement-related back-office tasks. However, organizations using Nooxit expect strict compliance with several regulatory requirements. By aligning with these compliance and regulatory requirements, Nooxit can easily demonstrate high levels of security and compliance.

Since Nooxit’s backend services are deployed on Amazon Web Services, a solution that easily plugs into the cloud environment and automatically performs security and compliance assessments aptly fits. Furthermore, Nooxit aimed not just to perform a one-off assessment but also wanted a solution that continually monitors its security and compliance posture, allowing for continuous security that can be demonstrated to its customers at any time. Therefore, Nooxit opted for the Mitigant Security Platform due to its multi-cloud coverage and innovative approaches.

Solution

Nooxit contacted Mitigant to get a clearer picture of the platform's functionalities, specifically the features that facilitate easy alignment with the TISAX certification. The call was very successful, allowing both parties to understand each other easily and move on to the next phase: onboarding. Nooxit subsequently conducted the self-onboarding on another day and immediately received the comprehensive assessment report from Mitigant CSPM and KSPM. All of this integrated well with their Infrastructure-as-Code approach.

The security assessment provided details of the cloud security findings across all the connected cloud accounts and Kubernetes clusters. Afterward, the Nooxit team used the reported remediation steps to fix the identified security issues over a couple of days. The daily assessment reports with on-demand assessment scans were leveraged to validate the implemented fixes continuously.

Result

Eventually, Nooxit delivered Mitigant’s assessment report to the auditor, who evaluated them for the TISAX certification, leading to approval and a successful certification process.  Since this is just the beginning, Nooxit will continue using Mitigant CSPM and KSPM to ensure the security and compliance of its cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure. Also, this continuous security process will make it easier for Nooxit to achieve the other certifications on its roadmap, including ISO 27001 and PCI DSS.
